By Paula Barron

The face is very delicate compared to the rest of the body. It therefore needs to be treated with a lot of care more so for sensitive-skin types. You should be very discerning about the facial products you use. For the delicate- skinned in particular, you will constantly be breaking out if you do not use make up for sensitive skin and care products that are hypoallergenic as well.

Seeing the problem such women faced, beauty gurus set out to find a solution for them. The result was mineral make up which is a boon for those with this problem. Mineral make up describes cosmetics made using mineral ingredients in their pure form in place of laboratory-made chemicals. There is a full range of them such as foundation, bronzers, blushers, eye shadow and other cosmetics. These products are light in texture and they give one a subtly, made up look.

The greatest advantage of mineral make-up is that it greatly reduces the number of toxins that enter the body through the skin-pores. It does not contain fragrance, dyes, talc, binders, and petrochemicals. Neither does it contain any kind of synthetic chemicals that contain irritants. It also non-comodogenic and preservative free.

Continued use of organic cosmetics will not only be the end of break outs but it will also enhance its texture, condition and its appearance. Those with conditions such as acne, dermatitis, blotchiness and rosacea also see improvement with the use of mineral make-up.

Make up should be applied after prepping and conditioning the skin. The basic care steps are cleansing, polishing, toning and protecting. For sensitive-skin types, this should be done with products marked as hypoallergenic meaning they cannot cause any kind of reactions.

Cleansing is the first step. Soap should not be used because it is drying and leave behind a film of residue. The best choices are a cream cleanser that you wipe off or a foaming one that lathers up and is rinsed off.

New skin-cells keep on forming and at the same time, dead ones being shed off. If dead ones are not removed, the skin looks scaly. Slough them off with a facial scrub which brings out the new, smooth complexion to the surface. It should be done a minimum of biweekly.

Toning sweeps away any dirt, make-up or product residue left after cleansing and exfoliating. It prepares the skin for moisturizer and is refreshing. Your last step of moisturizing which is not only for hydration but also forms a barrier against the elements such as sunlight. This means that you should choose a moisturizer which has such protection (SPF) in it. For night, opt for a night cream which will encourage the regeneration process.

Monthly facials are also important. In between, use face packs at home at least twice weekly. Use them when showering to take advantage of the steam which will open the pores for the pores to penetrate into the pores deeply.

With continued use of make up for sensitive skin and skincare products as well, you will see a transformation. It will look and feel better. The breakouts and other reactions will be a distant memory. You will be glowing and all by natural means.
